Three iconic Aedes de Venustas creations:

IRIS NAZARENA  Mysterious, mystical, sensuous…The rare Iris Bismarckiana is also known as Iris Nazarena because it grows mainly in the mountains east of Nazareth. The suede-soft petals of the mystical flower are sketched in a subtle sfumato of brown, purple and white, brushed with powdery iridescence. The limpid ambrette, with its pear, rose and musk facets, sheds the tender light of dawn on the top notes.

Notes include:  Iris, ambrette, rose, juniper berry, star anise, patchouli, vetiver, leather, clove, oud, frankincense.

Composed in New York in 2013 by Perfumer Ralf Schwieger.  Made in France. Fragrance Foundation Award 2014 «Perfume Extraordinaire» Winner. 

OEILLET BENGALE  A rose that wants to be a carnation… This flamboyant retro charmer that borrows facets from rose and ylang-ylang has a volatile personality. Add explosive exotic spices to it powdery scent and you will start a chain reaction.

Notes include: Bergamot, black pepper, cardamom, clove, rose, saffron, turmeric, amber, white pepper, vanilla, tolu, benzoin, labdanum.

COPAL AZUR Hypnotic, spiritual and forceful… Just as the Mayan citadel looms over Tulum’s lush beachside paradise, a steep, mineral cliff of incense dominates the olfactory landscape and opens the “Gate to Heaven”. Since copal resin cannot be used as a perfume ingredient, three different extractions of frankincense are used to conjure it from top to base notes, making up an extravagant 30% of the formula.

Notes include: Incense, salt, cardamom, patchouli, myrrh, tonka bean, amber.

Composed in Paris/Grasse in 2014 by Perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour. Made in France.
